In the aftermath of the COVID-induced economic lockdown, 2021 Texas rural land markets continue to explode with activity. In 2020, we introduced 13 new members to the Preserve. In 2021 at mid-year, we have welcomed just as many new members (13) with another 5 lots currently under contract. We continue to see buyers from all over the country as well as those escaping the growth of Texas cities like Austin, San Antonio and Dallas. Our new members include WFH executives, young families, retirees and vacation home buyers. The balanced mix is leading to a community with shared interests in horses, hiking and a general disposition to protecting native hill country landscapes and resources. We should all expect to see an increase in home construction as a result. With 5 homes currently underway and 7 more in design, we will likely double the existing 15 homes in 2022. As a result, the Architectural Review Committee has a very full plate and is meeting the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1pm CT. A reminder that all construction related docs are stored on the pwshoa.com website under ARC committee. I continue to host tours at all times of day and allow self-guided tours after prospects register. If you've been considering sharing the Preserve with family, friends or colleagues, now is the time to do so! We are offering the final 3 lots, which will not last long.
